Mechanicsville, VAThe slightly overcast sky offered a perfect environment for the running of the Ashcreek 5K and Fun Run, “Families Helping Families” and most of the staff of Midlothian Dental Center turned out with their own families to walk/run/ or ride in a stroller in support of a great cause. Dr. Scott Gore is acquainted with Amy Foley, Race Director, (and fabulous patient!), and he was inspired by the goal of the organization called “Hope for Families Worldwide”, which is the beneficiary of the proceeds of the race. Race prizes are donated by community businesses, so that truly 100% the proceeds of the entry fees of this year’s race are going directly to the project of Camp Hope locally in Richmond! Just before the rain began, prizes were awarded, and the MDC Milers were awarded the prize for “Largest Team”! We look forward to next year’s race, and will challenge more of our patients and neighbors to join us make the event even more successful, giving more kids a chance to attend Camp Hope.
