During quarantine, you may have tried your hand at different home teeth whitening remedies. The reality is, those methods such as whitening toothpaste, oil-pulling, and drugstore whitening kits only give you temporary and underwhelming results. Over-the-counter whitening methods only reach the surface of the teeth, leaving behind the real cause of your discoloration.Our Whitening for Life method gets to the root of the problem. When you come in for your visit at Midlothian Dental Center, we’ll make custom-fitted whitening trays that you can take home. (Don’t worry, they’re not hard trays like you get with Invisalign! They’re softer trays so they’re comfortable while you wear them.) Each patient will also take home a special hydrogen peroxide gel to put into each tray when used. You’ll wear the trays for an hour a day for 2-3 weeks or until your teeth whiten to the desired shade! It’s as simple as that.When you come back to your six-month cleaning appointment, we’ll give you additional whitening gel to use at no charge.
